Tangjung Bunga Nynoya is located in SS 2, the Chow Yang area. It is one of the long standing restaurants in our list to visit. From our checking, Tanjung Bunga has been around for at least 10 years. It is currently being helmed by the second generation.
This was the first time we visited despite wandering around this area for more than 10 years.
There were many ala carte dishes in the menu such as the classic nyonya curry fish, nasi ulam, joo hoo char and etc.
There is also a set lunch and dinner menu with 8 different sets to choose from. However to note the set menu is not available on Saturday, Sunday night and Public Holidays.
The set all came with spring roll and taichi tofu, cincau jelly ice and cendol with red bean ice. Quite a worthwhile set considering the price range.
We ordered a set petai prawn and nasi ulam with inchi cabin. Inchi cabin is fried chicken after we checked with the staff.
The staff served spring roll and taichi tofu together with the cincau jelly ice after our order.
The petai prawns looked so tasty and tempting. Indeed it was tasty and the petai portion was generous as well.
The fried chickens also came in huge portion. There was also crackers served together with the nasi ulam. The nasi ulam was good, similar to the one we had in Sri Nyonya.
The environment and price
Tanjung Bunga has the typical round tables for big group of diners. The tables had table clothes and glass on it which elevated the ambience a little.
The staff’s service was swift too.
