Discovering Extraction 萃 SS 2: A Tasty Adventure

First up was the “Big Breakfast,” and true to its name, the portion was indeed generous. Homemade hash browns, flavorful sausages, and crispy bacon made for a satisfying start to our meal.

Next, we tried the “Avocado, Tiger Prawns & Eggs.” The combination of creamy avocado, succulent tiger prawns, and perfectly cooked eggs made a great combination. The dressing added with dried bonito flakes had a slight tanginess that complemented the dish perfectly, and the sourdough added a lovely crunch.

We also couldn’t resist trying Extraction’s take on ramen. While the broth was rich and flavorful, we couldn’t help but wish it used traditional ramen noodles instead of spaghetti. Nonetheless, it was still a comforting bowl of noodles.

The “Spaghetti with Lemon Butter Cream & Seafoods” was another standout dish. The sauce was truly special, with the tanginess of the lemon perfectly balancing the richness of the butter cream. Fresh clams, mussels, and prawns added a delicious seafood twist.

For something lighter, we opted for the “Tuna Melt,” which featured homemade tuna salad on a fluffy muffin. It was a simple yet satisfying choice, perfect for a midday snack.

To accompany our meal, we enjoyed long black and cafe latte. Extraction roasts its own bean and the coffee we had was named after the owner’s daughter, “Sweet Vanessa.” The fruity undertones in the coffee beautifully complemented our dishes.

Finally, we indulged in the Tiramisu, which was infused with brandy. It was the perfect ending to our meal, with layers of creamy goodness and a hint of boozy warmth.
