The Dishes We Tried at Jipinhe, 1Utama
For lunch, we decided to dive into the menu and ordered three dishes: the Pickled Pepper Soup Rice Noodle, Authentic Hot & Sour Potato Noodle, and Rattan Pepper Chicken Thigh Scone.
The first dish to our table was the Authentic Hot & Sour Potato Noodle. As it arrived, we couldn’t help but notice the layer of red oil on top. Digging in, we found it to be quite a heavy bowl, packed with robust flavors. However, the abundance of oil made it a tad too greasy for our liking.
Next up was the Pickled Pepper Soup Rice Noodle, and it quickly became our favorite. The soup boasted a strong flavor profile, albeit milder compared to the red oil in the previous dish. It offered a refreshing change.
Saving the best for last, we tried the Rattan Pepper Chicken Thigh Scone. With its crispy skin and juicy chicken thigh filling, it was a true delight for the taste buds. This dish stood out as the star of our meal, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
Overall, our experience at Jipinhe was a pleasant one. While the Hot & Sour Potato Noodle may have been a bit too oily for our liking, the Pickled Pepper Soup Rice Noodle and Rattan Pepper Chicken Thigh Scone more than made up for it. We’ll definitely be returning to try more of their offerings and explore the diverse flavors of Chinese cuisine.
