Tai Er Suan Cai & Fish 太二酸菜鱼- Pavilion KL

Tai Er is a Chinese restaurant located in Pavilion KL, one of the most popular shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Specializing in China Suan Cai fish, Tai Er is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine.

During our visit to Tai Er, we ordered several dishes, including the suan cai fish, la zi ji, and suan ni bai rou. The standout dish was undoubtedly the suan cai fish 酸菜鱼. The fish was perfectly cooked and infused with the flavors of Sichuan-style pickled vegetables, resulting in a tangy and savory taste. It was also the heaviest taste of dish on the menu due to the pepper corn and pickled vegetables.

Another dish we enjoyed was the la zi ji 辣子鸡, or spicy diced chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the spice level was just right. This dish was a perfect complement to the suan cai fish and provided a nice balance of flavors and textures.

Finally, we tried the suan ni bai rou 蒜泥白肉, or garlic mince pork belly. This dish was spicy and refreshing, and not as heavy as we previously mentioned. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the combination of sour and spicy flavors was both refreshing and satisfying.

One unique feature of Tai Er is the tea section, where customers can make their own cup of tea. We tried the roselle and dried orange skin tea, which was a perfect pairing with the spicy dishes. The tea had a sweet and salty taste, and it helped to reduce the spiciness of the food, allowing us to enjoy the flavors even more.

Overall, Tai Er is a fantastic restaurant that serves up some of the good Chinese cuisine in Kuala Lumpur. If you’re a fan of Sichuan-style dishes or just love flavorful and spicy food, then Tai Er is definitely worth a visit.
