Aunty Melon SS 2 – Yummy Home Cooked Dishes
Restoran Aunty Melon used to occupy only half a shop (where the other half being a salon), it has since took over and becomes a full shop. The restaurant is bright and airy, comfortable to dine in for home cooked taste.
The Menu
The menu comes with photos which make it easy to know the dishes. The choices in Aunty Melon are considered extensive. There are chicken, pork and fish in the menu, all looks inviting and appetizing.
There are also some daily and weekly special such as tong po yoke, fish curry and chicken rice which can be found sticking on the wall and on the board at entrance. We actually wanted to try the special dessert – coffee caramel custard but it has sold out during our visit.

The food of Aunty Melon
We ordered a steamed pork patty, bitter gourd with pork and a steamed tofu with pork minced. The pork patty and bitter gourd pork came with a bowl of rice.
The portion of the foods were not too huge but enough to feed two persons. Taste wise, the pork patty had salted egg in it so it was good. Bitter gourd pork was also well braised and the thick sauce went well with the rice.
The environment and price of Aunty Melon
Located by the busy street however parking is seldom a problem here. The environment is quiet and good for a simple meal. The lady boss (we assume she is Aunty Melon) is friendly and approachable too.
The dinner was cheap and the bill came to about RM 28
Worth returning?
