‘Tis the season to indulge in good food and festive vibes, so we decided to check out Huckleberry at Bangsar Shopping Centre during a cheerful weekend around Christmas.
Without a doubt, the place was buzzing with holiday spirit, and we were eager to dive into their special Christmas menu.
The foods of Huckleberry
For starters, we opted for the superfoods salad. The plate was a burst of colors, with pomegranate, blueberries, mango, avocado, and a variety of greens. The vibrant mix looked promising, and we couldn’t wait to dig in.
Next up, our main courses arrived. We ordered the pumpkin and spinach pasta bake with a side salad, along with a Christmas burger featuring a juicy beef patty and, of course, another side salad.
The superfoods salad turned out to be the highlight with its fresh and fruity combination. Each bite was a play of textures and flavors, and it set a positive tone for the meal.
On the other hand, the pumpkin and spinach pasta bake sounded delicious on paper, but in reality, it fell short of expectations. The flavors were a bit underwhelming, and the dish lacked that wow factor.
The Christmas burger was decent and the beef patty was good. The side salad was a refreshing addition, though, adding a touch of lightness to the hearty burger.
In the end, our visit to Huckleberry at Bangsar Shopping Centre was a mixed bag. The superfoods salad was a definite win, but the main courses left us wishing for a bit more excitement on our plates. Despite the ups and downs, the festive atmosphere and friendly service made our Christmas dining experience enjoyable.
In summary, if you’re looking for a casual spot to soak in the holiday ambiance and enjoy a decent meal, Huckleberry might just fit the bill. Just don’t expect a culinary masterpiece – it’s more about the simple joy of sharing a meal in a festive setting.
