Sushiya, One Utama: A Sushi Lover’s Delight
If you’re a sushi lover, then Sushiya in One Utama is a must-visit spot. The Japanese restaurant offers an omakase bar. During our visit, we were lucky enough to be seated at the sushi bar, which offered a unique view of the chef preparing our sushi and other dishes.
As we didn’t have a reservation, the staff kindly seated us at the sushi bar. We ordered the kaisen chirashi, which was a beautifully presented bowl of assorted sashimi. The fish slices were all incredibly fresh and sweet, making for a truly delicious experience. We enjoyed the chirashi a lot. The Ikura roe popped in our mouth, adding a burst of flavour to each bite. The sashimi in the chirashi are such as: the squid, saba, octopus, scallop, salmon, tuna, kampachi, Ikura roe and tiger prawn.

We also ordered the tempura set, which came in a generous portion. The batter was light and crispy, and the vegetables and prawns inside were cooked to perfection. The set does not come with chawanmushi and miso soup, we added it on to go with our meal.
Finally, we ordered the salmon avocado roll, which was a great addition to our meal. The roll was well-made, with the creamy avocado complementing the fresh salmon.
Overall, our experience at Sushiya in One Utama was fantastic. The food was fresh and delicious, and the sushi bar offered a unique view of the chef’s work. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high-quality sushi. Whether you opt for the omakase bar or not, you won’t be disappointed with your meal at Sushiya.
