Spacegrey SS 2 - Great Place for Coffee and Chill

Been seeing and hearing about Spacegrey, SS 2 and also wanting to visit it. However there are quite a number of newer cafe opening up recently, therefore Spacegrey has been staying in our to-go list for quite while now.

On the last Saturday morning before CNY and after our breakfast in Bandit SS 2, we decided to just try our luck with Spacegrey. We were lucky, the cafe was empty and we had Spacegrey to ourselves throughout our dine in. Guess people were travelling to go back hometown or busy shopping for the festive season.

Upon stepping into the small and cosy Spacegrey (enclaved within Floralreef), we immediately liked the vibe it was releasing:

The staff were friendly
The Japanese feel setting with neon lights
The sleek steel tables and chairs which seem a bit of Hong Kong feel to us
The windows seating on first floor
The greyish rustic wall and shiny white tiles wall
The matcha latte and daifuku

We loved every little characters of Spacegrey, we regretted for not coming earlier.

The Menu

There are two menus: the everyday and the weekends.

Matcha is the ingredients for few of the Spacegrey’s unique items, such as dirty matcha, matcha, matcha-filled cookie, and the matcha daifuku.

The differences are the matcha daifuku and ‘nothing special ramen’ which are only served during weekend.

The Drinks and Daifuku

As we just taken our breakfast, we ordered an iced black coffee, iced matcha and a matcha daifuku.

The matcha latte was very good, thick and strong matcha taste.

The matcha daifuku was in preparation so we got the chance to see the process of making it from scratch.

Fresh matcha daifuku was so good. The matcha skin was coated with more matcha powder and red bean + matcha filling was just taken out from fridge so we still can taste the chilled filling.
