66 Nyonya Secrets SS 2 – Full of Nyonya Flavor

66 Nyonya Secrets, a relatively new establishment in the neighborhood. Apparently it has few outlets in Klang Valley but this is the first time we come across this name and decided to give it a try.

The outlet we went is around Chow Yang, SS 2 area.

The Menu

There are quite a variety of Nyonya dishes on the menu, from rice, noodles, kuih, snacks to the desserts. The price is reasonable as well.

During our visit, the staff served us a pack of five pieces kuih, it was on the house. Thank you for that and we think it could be due to their resting time, they might need to dispose it if not selling it.

The foods at 66 Nyonya Secrets

We ordered a bowl of Nyonya curry laksa and a plate of mee Siam rendang chicken.

The dishes looked appetizing. The curry laksa looked spicy but it was quite mild. The gravy was thick but a little oily. Laksa is meant to be oily anyway. There were some chicken, long bean, tau fu pok and eggs in the curry laksa.

As for the mee siam rendang ayam, the portion of mee siam is huge, nice fried and was not too soggy or lumpy. The ayam rendang came with it was spicy and very flavorful.  The gravy went very well when blending together the mee siam.

The assorted kuih were good too, not too sweet and tasted quite authentic.
