Chabashira Tea Roastery – Matcha and Houjicha Desserts
Chabashira Tea Roastery, a newly opened tea house in Taman Paramount serving teas from Kyoto. It has just opened in the beginning of January 2022 and has garnered quite some attention.
The Menu
The menu of Chabashira Tea Roastery is considered extensive. There are ceremonial matcha (coming soon), the regular matcha and houjicha. It all comes with different combinations and taste.
Apart from tea, Chabashira Tea is also serving many types of desserts such as parfait, artisan cake, zenzai, tiramisu and etc.
The food
We feel like to try many of the items and ended up ordering a matcha shiratama zenzai (matcha and mochi with red bean paste) and a mini matcha yuzu cheese cake. We heard that the cheese cake was made with three types of cheese. Indeed the cheese cake did not disappoint and it was very good to our liking.
For drink, we had iced matcha latte and a kohi-cha. Kohi-cha is made from houjicha and mixed with coffee. It was refreshing to mix both of it in one drink.

The environment and price
The setting is Japanese style, from the wall features to the zen style water feature at the back of the roastery. The interior, though not a huge shop, is brightly lit with natural lights and is not noisy when it is a full house. It was cozy.
We liked the dining experience as we sat in front of the barista and were able to enjoy the drink making process from whipping the matcha powder to shaking the crafted cold drink.
The bill came to RM61 for the four items we had
Worth returning?
Yes for more matcha dessert. We like the overall experience.
