Restoran Nyonya Cuisine Damansara Jaya - Value Set

Restoran Nyonya Cuisine is located in Damansara Jaya, along one of the row of shop lots right besides Atria Shopping Gallery. We have been passing by those shop lots many times and often the restaurants got unnoticed.

It was only when we were looking for more Nyonya foods around us. The review and their Facebook page look good so we went to give it a try.

The Menu

Upon reaching Nyonya Cuisine, we were greeted by a sign board of their value set. It looked good with fish, chicken, vegetable, dessert and rice. Moreover a 35% discount will be given so a value set meal it is at that point of time. However we should have ordered their signature dishes instead since it is our first visit.

Apart from the value set, there are plenty of ala carte dishes available, such as sambal petai prawn, ponteh chicken, Nyonya spring roll, steamed otak-otak and more. The menu in their Facebook’s page has more dishes than the copy handed to us in store. Do check out their page.

The food

As we went for the value meal, we get to choose the fish and vegetables so we chose to have curry fish and stir fried bayam. Sweet and sour chicken and dessert of day were fixed. Nyonya Cuisine serve sagu gula Melaka during our visit.

All the foods looked good and tasted really homey as they claimed to be. The curry sauce was thick and creamy. For the assam fish and sweet and sour chicken, it would be better if both the chicken and fish can be deep fried before putting into the sauce and gravy.

Stir fried bayam was normal and we liked the sago gula Melaka the most. Simple yet tasty and authentic.

We think it would be better if we go for the ala carte dishes or their signature dishes since this is our first visit. But hey, this warrants us another visit to Nyonya Cuisine to try out more dishes 🙂
