My love affair with this dish started when I was a child. Every time i eat CKT in Melawis, Klang, it bring back memories. The dish brings back flash back, where family spent their evening, enjoying good food and each other’s company.

Formerly, the dish was cooked over a charcoal fire, despite the use of charcoal is no longer common, the recipe remains largely unchanged. It is a must-try for anyone visiting the area.

The Fried Kuey Teow is made with flat rice noodles that are stir-fried with a variety of ingredients, including eggs, bean sprouts, cockles. Subsequently, it is then seasoned with soy sauce and other spices, giving it a unique and flavorful taste.

Thereafter, Uncle Ng will cook the kuey teow over an open flame, giving them a smoky flavor (wok-hei) and a slightly charred texture that is irresistible.

Undeniably, it is a must-try for anyone visiting the area.
