Lai Fong Lala Noodles – Damansara Uptown
The famous Lai Fong lala noodles recently opened a new outlet in PJ Uptown. We had been to their Chinatown outlet previously. This time, we went to the new outlet to try its signature Michelin starred noodle.
Check out other restaurants we visited previously around the neighbourhood:
The decor is simple and minimalistic, with the focus being on the food. After browsing the menu, we decided to order a bowl of the signature Lala Mee Hoon and a plate of Lala Fried Rice.
The Lala Mee Hoon arrived first, and we were strucked by the fragrant aroma of the wine-infused broth. The dish consisted of mee hoon, lala clams, and a flavorful broth that was both savory and slightly sweet. The addition of wine gave the dish a unique taste.
Next, we tried the Lala Fried Rice, which was decent but not as memorable as the Lala Mee Hoon. The fried rice was cooked with eggs, vegetables, and lala clams, which added a seafood flavor to the dish.
Overall Lai Fong is a good place to grab a bowl of hearty noodle in no frilled setting.
