Kee Hiong Klang Bak Kut Teh – SS 2
During our recent visit to Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh, we ordered the claypot Bak Kut Teh with pork belly, tau pok, and vegetables. To add some variety, we also added a braised egg and a plate of Yau Mak. As soon as the dish arrived, we could smell the rich aroma of the herbs that filled the air.
The first thing we noticed about the Bak Kut Teh soup was how thick and rich it was. The broth was bursting with the flavors of Chinese herbs, creating a perfect balance of sweet and savory notes. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, while the tau pok soaked up the soup’s flavors, making it a tasty and satisfying addition to the dish.
Also check out the nearby eateries we have been to:
The braised egg was ok, the soup used to serve braised egg was not the bak kut teh soup. The Yau Mak, a simple plate of stir-fried lettuce, provided a refreshing crunch and contrast to the heavier elements of the dish. Together, the different components of the meal complemented each other perfectly.
Overall, Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh in SS 2 is a good choice for those who loves bak kut teh. The rich and flavorful Bak Kut Teh soup, combined with the tender meat and hearty vegetables, will leave you feeling satisfied and warm inside.
