Jin Xuan 锦选 Dim Sum Damansara Jaya – Value for Money
Been a while did not go to Jin Xuan for dim sum, as we have been having the impression that their dim sum is overpriced.
Long lockdown at home made us having all sort of crave and dim sum is one of it. Unable to find other dim sum shop on the food delivery app, we settled with Jin Xuan as the most decent one. Would be good if we can get Key Hiong from Taman Bahagia (click to view our dine in) to deliver.
The Menu of Jin Xuan
Jin Xuan serves many variety of Hong Kong style dim sum. They are such as steamed, pan fried, deep fried items and porridge.

The food
We ordered sticky lotus leaf rice, big bun (da bao), shen jian bao, yam pastry (wu kok), and fried carrot cake.
The da bao (with pork inside) was huge. All the portion was generous with three pieces for yam pastry and sheng jian bao. All of them tastes good, craving satisfied! Although the dim sum was by delivery, the skin of the bun was not soggy. The yam pastry was still crispy when arrived.
We thought the portion would be small therefore ordered five items to make it a lunch meal for two. Surprisingly the portion was huge and we ended up unable to finish it and have to save some for dinner.
Head over to our Instagram to see the reel of the dim sum: here.
The price of Jin Xuan
For the portion of dim sum and the quality of it, we did not think Jin Xuan is overpriced this round. It costed us less than RM 50 for all the dim sum.
Worth returning to Jin Xuan?
Yes, dim sum with a pot Chinese tea while chilling on a weekend meal is what all of us could use during this period.
