Crying Tiger Beef Made from Home – Recipe
Crying tiger beef is a Thai dish and we found this recipe from Marion’s Kitchen. Tried and it was good though it requires some efforts to make it.Â

Crying Tiger Beef
Ingredients
Marinate Beef
- 250 g Beef steak
- 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Fish sauce
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
Tamarind Sauce
- 1 tbsp Toasted rice Finely blend
- 0.5 tbsp Tamarind paste (asam paste)
- 1 tbsp Fish sauce
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 2 pc Lime Squeeze into lime juice
- 1 tbsp Chili flakes
- 2 pcs Shallots Cut into thin slices
- 1 cup Coriander Finely cut
Pan Sear Steak
- 1 tbsp Butter or oil
Instructions
Toasted Rice
- Toast rice on a pan until golden brown
- Blend the toasted rice finely
Tamarind Chili Sauce
- Mix all the ingredients into a bowl
- Taste the sauce and adjust accordingly
Beef
- Marinate the beef for 30 to 60 minutes
- Heat up the pan with oil or butter
- Pan sear it until your desired doneness
- Let cool and cut into slices
- Serve together with the tamarind sauce
