The lunch we had at Choon Prawn Mee. We also ordered a glass of the Penang famous nutmeg juice. It was good and refreshing
The prawn mee we had has some pork slices, mee hoon, bean sprouts, water cress, fried shallots and of course - the prawns. The soup was in fiery red, not spicy but rich in prawns' sweetness
The Nyonya dry noodle, on the other hand, was milder. The dry mee hoon was mixed with vinegared red onion hence making the dish sourish. Appetizing like a cold dish. It was served with some fish cake slices, fish balls and fried shallots
The beautiful bowl of prawn mee

The shop was full of crowd during lunch hour. We noticed Choon Prawn Mee is selling its prawn mee soup base for steamboat use, could be a good alternative for steamboat session during the upcoming Chinese New Year
